One of the core areas of training of Rubber Training Institute (RTI) of the Board is Rubber Industry Development which addresses the training needs of processing, product manufacturing, marketing and consuming sectors of the rubber industry in the country. Major thrust areas covered in this line are technical updation, quality improvement, trouble shooting, cost reduction etc. of existing units for achieving global competency and Entrepreneur Development Programmes for mobilization of MSMEs towards value addition/employment generation. Hands on training to technical personnel from industries and unemployed youth towards skill acquisition in various job roles related to the rubber processing and product manufacturing industries including latex products, tyre and non-tyre industries are also covered. Advanced need-based programmes in specific topics have also been carrying out regularly with faculty support of experts from the industry and academic Institutions.
