Rubber Extension Development Training

The main mandate of the Division is organizing programmes for transfer of technology and Skill development among clusters of rubber growers through organizing training programmes on various aspects of rubber cultivation, in decentralized mode. The major topics are plantation management, LFT/CUT, tapping corrections, latex collection & preservation, RSS processing & Grading, intercropping, mannuring&RubSIS, disease management, apiculture, RPS  accounts maintenance & auditing, GST, mushroom cultivation, pisciculture in rubber plantation and special training to SC/ST and women beneficiaries.  Thrust is given mainly for productivity enhancement, additional income generation, quality improvement and cost reduction practices.

Training programs are also conducted in non-traditional/NE regions for creating awareness among the stake holders and farmers for the adoption of location specific scientific/cost effective practices towards sustainability of the rubber plantation industry in the context of fall in price of NR coupled with other challenges.  Taking the need of the situation in to account, programs are conducted focusing Low Frequency Exploitation methodologies to be followed in rubber holdings with a view to reduce cost of production, increase production and productivity and improve both social status and net annual income of stakeholders. This has a remarkable impact on business modalities of RPSs and reasonable increase of business spectrum of Boards Companies involved in the process.
